Places To Go, Things To Do, And Food To Eat
Water! Lots of Water..
Just Short Hike
Yes the water really is that Blue
Crater Lake
This is Oregon’s Yosemite and a must see if the park is open. You’ve heard about it, you’re here, If you haven’t been there, you better go. If you think it could be snowing up there check the webcam link.
The Water is Crystal Clear
Spring Creek
This crystal clear river bubbles up from the ground about 7 miles from Collier State park. This is an excellent place to put Kayaks in.
The links below show you how to get to the headwaters on a forest service road. The creek also crosses the highway at Collier State Park which has easier access.
One of my favorite places
Right here in Town
Not far from here
Lake of the Woods
Lake Of The Woods Resort is located on Hwy 140, at approx. 4,600 feet elevation in the Southern Oregon Cascades. This beautiful setting is in pristine old growth forest at the foot of Mt. McLoughlin. There is usually a parking fee to get in during the summer.

Klamath Trails
For quick in town hikes I recommend Moore Mountain, but there are really too many trails to list here. Fortunately there’s a local organization with a whole website dedicated to just that. Check out the link below for all the trails in the area, maps and information about them.

Groceries
The Best Place to buy Organic food in Klamath Falls
This store has everything.

A Fred Meyer Store is practically a fixture in the Pacific Northwest. From groceries to clothing, electronics to Jewelry Fred Meyer has everything. This store also has a gas station with competitive fuel prices, and several Tesla Superchargers. It’s located just down the street on Shasta way.

You never know what you will find
Grocery Outlet
If you are not familiar with Grocery Outlet, you should pay a visit. There is an ever rotating stock of new products usually at deep discounts. We like the wine selection and they often have Bordeaux and Merlot wine from France, Chile, New Zealand, and California, among other places.

Eat and Drink
Rodeos Pizza
Pronounced Roe-Dee-Oh’s as in “This isn’t our first rodeo” as opposed to Rodeo drive (The way I thought it was pronounced) They make pretty good NY Style Pizza and to tell the truth It’s better than some Pizza I’ve had in NY. So, not the absolute best pizza ever, but definitely the best in town.
1215 Main St Klamath Falls, OR 97601
Thai Orchid
A longtime local favorite with consistent good reviews. When I think of Thai restaurants, even when I’m out of town I compare them with this one. Two locations.

A great Beer Garden with Great views of lower Klamath Lake. There are three food trucks on site in the outdoor seating area, with Beers from across the region on tap. Check out the rooftop seating in the warmer months.

Girasol Mexican Restaurant & Cantina
Girasol ie: Sunflower
They have pretty decent food and a good solid Margarita. The outdoor sidewalk dining is a definite to do in the summer, but you might want to call ahead because sometimes it gets filled up when its busy. 541-887-2282
430 Main St Klamath Falls, OR 97601
Hanayori Japanese Cuisine
I went there for lunch one day. As a typical Japanese restaurant It’s alright, maybe even pretty good. It’s authentic run by a Japanese man and his daughter apparently. The place is clean and the food is fine. I will go there again eventually. If you want Japanese, this is the place to go in KF.
240 Main St, Klamath Falls, OR 97601
(Vegan)
Terra Veg
I haven’t personally been here but it was recommended to me as a vegan eatery by u/MuffinPuffinMoo.
It is self described as “Middle Eastern-Mediterranean vegan lunch fare, made from mostly organic ingredients, created with love, in small batches.” You can check them out here. https://terra-veg-eatery.square.site

The Pikey
The Pikey is an Irish Restaurant with a pretty good menu. It has some decent fish and chips and quite the array of burgers along with the Irish Fare Like Corned Beef and Cabbage, Sheppards Pie, and Bangers & Mash. Guinness is served on Tap. It’s one of my top Lunch Pics.

Automotive
Lee’s Automotive
As their website says “Lee's Automotive is an automotive mechanical repair shop providing all routine maintenance, like oil changes, transmission services, coolant flushes, brakes and tune-ups, as well as any other service or repair you may need.” And I found that to be the case when I brought my car in for repair. My takeaway was that they were very professional.

My Mechanic Auto Repair
I haven’t been to this one but I’ve heard good things about them. You may want to compare with other shops.

Everclean Car Wash
Who wants to fool around with water in the middle of winter? Not me, so I go to this drive through. There are two locations in town. The best thing besides free vacuums is the monthly pass. For $20 a month you can go as many times as need to. That’s the best deal around.
